"This is the first "Boot Camp" I have ever participated in and I have to say it is
all I hoped it would be...  and more!
The program Margie has put together is not only challenging but "Fun" and varied every day.
It is also nice that the other women in the group are of all ages, sizes and levels of ability. 
I might add that I am not a morning person but once I am there I feel alive!
The location is wonderful at Tunxis Mead Park...
and my favorite part is the trail through the woods along the Farmington River.
I am only sorry that I will have to stop once my 12 sessions have ended as I am moving away for a while. However, I will definitely be looking forward to restarting next summer.
Lastly...I don't think I will ever forget... "exercise and you won't feel old"!

"So this morning when you told us to split up, runners going with Bill and walkers staying with you,
I was planning on staying with you. As the runners started heading out, you said "Come on, more of you can run than that!" and I figured you were talking to me so I challenged myself and went out for a great run in the woods. I did pretty good with the "advanced" group and was pleased with my performance. Also, three new ladies had started today and went with the runners, so I told them what they can expect and made a few new friends. I LOVE boot camp. Very happy to have this excuse to get off my a**.

One week of keeping track [of my food intake, and Margie giving me feedback] and
I've lost several pounds and my cravings are gone.
I always thought I ate a healthy diet, with occasional indulgences, but once I started measuring vegetables and counting cookies I saw my daily intake for what it really is (was).  Just knowing I'm going to have to be accountable to myself by writing down everything I eat helps me make better decisions.  It helps with the guilt, too. 
Before I would just sigh and think, well, I've blown it, I might as well eat a few more. 
Now, instead of feeling guilty, I write it down and let it go. Keeping a food log has been an eye opener. 
But the best part is that most of the time I'm not tempted to overindulge because I feel so good!"

I have to say when I first received your Boot Camp e-mail, the words that motivated me to try it were 'lose a clothing size', and that's why I joined.  I was a little worried about coming due to my age (62) and ability,
but you made me feel comfortable to do what I could and work as hard as I could.
